Mulberry Manor Testimonials

We held our granddaughter's wedding here. We also reserved the couple the Bridal Suite for the night. The owners provided everything - catering, setup, even officiated the wedding ceremony. It was very affordable and every detail was perfect. Could not ask for more. These folks are the best. For a visit or a ceremony, give them a call.

My, what a difference a little TLC makes !! We’ve known about the old Mulberry Manor for years— primarily as a venue for parties and dinners— but it’s a bright new day at The Manor! Proprietors Mark and Kim Reaves have brought their own style of West Texas Hospitality, with a generous helping of love, care and attention to detail that make every stay a journey into the luxury of a 5-star hotel, with the comfort of grandma’s house at Christmas-time. The traditional antique furnishings, accented by contemporary appointments, inspire the royalty in every guest while Mark and Kim’s down to earth attention to every guest makes ‘The Manor’ just like home. We can’t wait to stay again!!

Mark and Kim are great hosts and go above and beyond to accommodate you. The rooms are luxurious, the showers are hot, the towels are thick, and the breakfast is wonderful. If you’re on a special diet, they will prepare a tailored dish just for you. We will stay here again!

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Mulberry Manor. The property is beautiful and has been tastefully restored and decorated. Mark and Kim are extremely gracious hosts and they made us feel right at home durning our stay. They have done so much to make the property shine and it really feels like a sanctuary of calm and relaxation. We shared a delicious meal together and enjoyed their fresh made cookies too. The room was large and comfortable and the air conditioning was a god send in the hot weather. Sweetwater is an interesting town and we especially enjoyed checking out the pioneer museum and Argos bar. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in Sweetwater Mulberry Manor is undoubtedly your best bet.

We had a great time at the Mulberry Manor! The breakfast was absolutely amazing, and the hosts, Kim and Mark, were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our charcuterie board was amazing and finished with a bottle of wine! We enjoyed spending time in the bar area and felt at home. Would recommend to anyone in Sweetwater!

The hosts Kim and Mark were awesome, breakfast was delicious and the rooms were so cozy and the Mulberry tree on property was amazing! We spent a relaxing two nights in an amazing home with great history and decor.

Kim and Mark are great hosts, and are serious about making sure that you have a great stay and want to come back. They always knew when to be there, and when to leave you alone. It is really clean, and really quiet - my two requirements for any place to stay. We enjoyed it on the way up, so we booked it again on the way home. We have stayed in the Mattie Mae Room, and Trammel Suite. You will not be disappointed either way.

Kim and Mark are delightful hosts! the Inn has been beautifully and functionally restored, with a spectacular history behind it all. The breakfast served was phenomenal. We had planned a trip from Austin to Santa Fe and decided to break the drive by staying here. It was a great call! Cant recommend it enough.

Mulberry Manor Bed and Breakfast is a true oasis in Sweetwater Texas. After choosing to stay here, based on the reviews and in order to break up my long drive from Denver to San Marcos, I was wonderfully surprised when I stepped into Mulberry Manor and found an incredibly clean, spacious and beautifully (and thoughtfully) decorated reprieve from being on the road. Kim and Mark are such gracious and humble hosts who uphold the traits everyone hopes for when booking a bed and breakfast. I hadn't booked anywhere to stay on my way back from San Marcos, but quickly booked a room for my return to Denver. I've also already recommended the Mulberry Manor to my friends and family and plan on staying here on all of my driving trips as well as any time I need to escape in Texas. Thank you for your hospitality Kim and Mark!

Mark and Kimberly are amazing hosts. We have attended several events there and the service and food have always been top notch. These two know how to treat customers and their attention to detail is second to none. We are planning a staycation in the near future since we live in Sweetwater. The home itself is something out of a Southern Living magazine, amazing detail and exquisite furnishings. If you are looking for a B&B in the greater Abilene/Sweetwater area you don't need to look any further.

We loved Mulberry Manor and Kim was awesome! She was so responsive to all of our messages (both prior to and during our stay) providing us with helpful information for our arrival, check-in and stay. The breakfast each morning was amazing. The linens, towels, and amenities are better than even a 5-star hotel. If you are needing a place to stay within the Sweetwater area this is the perfect place!

For the two nights I would be in Sweetwater, Tx, I wanted to stay some place different and memorable. I could not have picked a better place. I love history and this house has a great story and beautiful antique furniture. I stayed in the Mattie Mae room which epitomizes luxury from the thick carpeting, mirrored armoire to the huge bathroom with a roman bath. I favor showers (there was one) but I could not pass up the opportunity to experience a roman bath. The innkeepers, Kim and Mark, could not have been more gracious or concerned about one's comfort. Coffee, tea and cookies were always available. Guests have free access to the kitchen as well as to two well-appointed living rooms and an atrium that is sunny and open. It even has a bar. I loved being able to sit on the front porch, read and watch the world go by. The manor is exceptionally clean; quite a feat in dusty west Texas. It's easy to get to from the interstate but once there, you seem miles away from it. I'm already looking forward to my next stay when I am next in the area.

Thank you, Kim & Mark, for a fabulous time in your beautiful and fascinating home. The company, food, and accommodations are the best we have ever experienced (worldwide)! We’ll be back. Great wine choices, as well.
